Walmart stores are often built with glass, concrete, and steel that can block, reflect, or degrade cellular signals. In-store coverage mattered both for shopper convenience and for customers purchasing newly activated mobile devices.

Coverage and project constraints
The DAS systems had to be designed, installed, tested, and turned over on a compressed timeline. Installation also had to occur during normal 24×7 store operations with minimal shopper disruption and a strong focus on safety.
TELNET project approach
TELNET tested existing cellular signal strength, selected BDA and antenna locations, ordered materials, and installed the BDA, donor antenna, remote antennas, and more than 2,000 feet of coaxial cable. The team then tested frequencies and prepared the system for final carrier commissioning.
Operational benefit
TELNET completed both stores on time, within scope, and within budget. The systems provided store-wide coverage to support a stronger shopping and mobile-device experience.
