Coors Event Center DAS Design
TELNET designed a distributed antenna system for the Coors Event Center at the University of Colorado, helping address the coverage and capacity demands of a large multi-purpose arena.
In-building wireless performance for real facilities.
Large event venues create demanding RF conditions. Dense crowds, concrete, steel, and glass can strain older wireless infrastructure and create coverage gaps at exactly the times visitors expect reliable connectivity.
- Large arena environment
- Coverage and capacity planning
- Benchmark testing
- DAS equipment and antenna design support
Challenge, solution, and result.
These project examples show how planning, RF design, field work, testing, and carrier coordination come together in operational buildings.
Coverage and project constraints
The arena environment made cellular RF performance difficult because building materials can block, attenuate, or reflect signals. The project required a design approach that addressed both coverage and network capacity for wireless communications into and out of the venue.
TELNET project approach
AT&T selected TELNET to conduct cellular signal benchmark testing, identify where signals needed to be boosted, and design a DAS solution with the appropriate BDAs, cable, connectors, hubs, and antennas.
Operational benefit
TELNET completed benchmark testing and DAS design support, enabling the carrier installation and system turnover to the University.
Engineering-led DAS support from survey through closeout.
TELNET brings RF benchmarking, design, equipment planning, installation coordination, testing, commissioning support, and documentation discipline to complex in-building wireless projects.
- RF benchmark testing and site assessment
- DAS/BDA planning and antenna placement
- Carrier and project-team coordination
- Installation, testing, and commissioning support
- Practical planning for occupied facilities
- Documentation support for project closeout
